El objetivo del presente trabajo es recorrer el concepto de sociedad civil entre los autores clásicos más significativos de la modernidad. Para realizar una lectura comparativa se agrupó a los teóricos escogidos bajo la lógica de tres perspectivas: la liberal, la hegeliana y la demócrata. En la medida que diferenciamos a la sociedad civil del Estado, debemos pensar en su nexo: la ciudadanía y, en particular, la ciudadanía política y la noción de representación. The aim of this article is to explore the concept of civil society among the most significant classical authors of modernity. To make a comparative lecture, the authors were grouped together into three different perspectives: liberal, Hegelian, and democratic. As we find the differences between civil society and State, we must think on their nexus: citizenship and, particularly, political citizenship and the notion of representation. So, the division made gives an answer to the concepts of citizenship and representation of each thinker, which allows to have a clear idea of civil society and to know which is its place in politics.... view less
