abstract = {En este artículo, el autor analiza los principales efectos nocivos que sobre la sociedad provoca el aumento el desempleo: erosión del capital humano, emigración, suicidio, reducción del consumo, concentración del ingreso, pobreza, economía informal y delincuencia. Para atenuar estos efectos negativos, concluye, es preciso implementar políticas públicas que otorguen los incentivos necesarios para la creación de puestos de trabajo y atiendan la pérdida del ingreso que sufre el desempleado.In this article, the author analyzes the main injurious effects that on the society it causes increase unemployment: erosion of the human capital, emigration, suicide, reduction of the consumption, income concentration, poverty, informal economy and delinquency. In order to attenuate these negative effects, the author concludes, it is precise to implement public policies that they grant the necessary incentives for the creation of jobs and they take care of
