Der Beitrag entwickelt eine umfassende und grundlegende Kritik des gegenwärtig dominanten Verständnisses normativer Politischer Theorie und Internationaler Politischer Theorie. Dazu wird zunächst gezeigt, dass Politische Theorie und IPT auf die Aufgabe der Begründung von Normativität fixiert sind. Gegen dieses begründungstheoretische Verständnis von Politischer Theorie und IPT wird in Auseinandersetzung mit unter anderem Foucault, Derrida und Rancière ein negativ-befragendes Modell kritischer Theorie entworfen. Abschließend wird skizziert, wie sich die Aufgaben von Politischer Theorie und IPT im Lichte dieses anderen kritischen Theoriemodells verschieben.... view less

The article develops a broad and fundamental critique of the currently dominant understanding of normative Political Theory and International Political Theory. It begins by demonstrating that Political Theory as well as IPT mainly focusses on the task of the justification of normativity. Referring to Foucault, Derrida and Rancière a rather negative and interrogative model of a critical theory is sketched out against an orientation of Political Theory and IPT based on justification. The concluding remarks are dedicated to the question of how the main tasks of Political Theory and, particularly, IPT are shifting due to this alternative model of a critical theory.... view less
