El presente artículo es un acercamiento a la antropología simbólica de Lluís Duch, quien plantea la urgente necesidad de una "apología de lo humano" y de una "antropología de la ambigüedad" como propuestas para superar los diversos reduccionismos y esencialismos (estructuralistas, historicistas y economicistas) que han padecido las humanidades y las ciencias sociales, particularmente durante el pasado siglo xx, y cuya crisis se agudiza en el presente. Se exponen las líneas principales de su pensamiento remarcando la validez actual de sus categorías de análisis y de las lúcidas orientaciones heurísticas de su antropología simbólica. También se examinan, los conceptos referidos al trayecto biográfico, a la relación que guardan el pensamiento simbólico y la contingencia, el mythos y el logos, el Romanticismo y la Ilustración, el cambio y la permanencia. Finalmente, se pone de manifiesto que la antropología que propone Duch se esfuerza por comprender la paradoja que es el ser humano y la fascinante aventura de su existencia, mediante un movimiento oscilante y pendular entre opuestos complementarios.... view less

This article approaches the symbolic anthropology of Lluís Duch who proposes the urgent need of an "apology of the human" and of an "anthropology of ambiguity" as a response, aimed to overcome the various reductionisms and essentialisms (structuralists, historicists and economicists) that have been endured by the humanistic disciplines and social sciences, especially during the past 20th Century, carrying it's deepening crisis into the present.
