Se evaluó económicamente la en-gorda de toretes en dos sistemas de alimentación: uno bajo el sistema silvopastoril intensivo (sspi) y otro bajo un sistema tradicional de confinamiento (stc). Se usaron 78 toretes, divididos equitativamente en los sspi y stc, en Apatzingán, Michoacán, México. Para la evaluación se utilizaron los indicadores del van, la tir, el prc, y la r=b/c. Los indicadores económicos obtenidos para el sspi fueron positivos y para el stc resultaron negativos. In the present investigation the fattening of bullocks by two feeding systems was economically evaluated, one under the Intensive Silvopastoral System (sspi ) and the other under a Traditional Confinement System (stc). 78 bullocks were used and divided equally in the sspi and the stc in the city of Apatzingan, Michoa-can, Mexico. For the evaluation we used the fo-llowing indicators: npv, irr, the prc, and r=b/c. The economic indicators that were obtained for the sspi resulted positive and the stc indicators resulted negative.
