Das Interesse an Bildungsberichten hat in den vergangenen Jahren stark zugenommen. Auch in der bildungspolitischen Debatte gewinnen Forschungsergebnisse immer mehr an Bedeutung. Der Bereich der Weiterbildung kommt in dieser Entwicklung jedoch nach wie vor deutlich zu kurz. Die vom Deutschen Institut für Erwachsenenbildung Leibniz-Zentrum für Lebenslanges Lernen (DIE) herausgegebene Trendanalyse 2010 versucht diese Lücke zu schließen. Der Report wertet Daten zu unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Weiterbildung aus - vom Lehrpersonal über die Nutzung von Angeboten bis zur Frage der Finanzierung. Auf dieser Grundlage gelangt der Bericht zu einer umfassenden Beschreibung der aktuellen Weiterbildungslandschaft. Das Buch richtet sich an Akteure aus Praxis, Politik und Forschung. Over the past years, the interest in reports on educational developments has increased and research results are gaining more and more importance also in education policy debates. The field of continuous education, however, still does not attract enough attention. The latest trend analysis published by the German Institute for Adult Education - Leibniz Centre for Lifelong Learning (DIE) tries to fill this gap. The report evaluates findings from various fields in continuous education, ranging from the teaching staff through the use of educational offerings to the question of financing. These findings form the basis for a comprehensive description of the situation of continuous education in 2010. The book is aimed at actors in practical teaching, politics and research. It provides an empirical basis to assess future developments and makes suggestions how persons in responsible positions can influence them.
