The book portrays structures and changes of the organised continuous professional development based on the social modernisation process since the educational reform referring to the example of a regional continuous professional development market. To this end a panel of continuous professional development institutions were collated over the period of three decades and were then analysed in view of changes within the institutional structures, the provisions as well as the functions and services of organised continuous development. The full collation of regional continuous professional development markets allows for analyses on the system, organisation and interaction levels. Das Buch zeichnet Struktur und Wandel organisierter Weiterbildung seit der wohlfahrtsstaatlichen Bildungsreform der 1970er Jahre nach. Insbesondere geht es um die Wirkungen zentraler Modernisierungsstrategien wie der Institutionalisierung, der Professionalisierung und der Qualitätssicherung der Weiterbildung. Dazu wurde ein regionales Panel von Weiterbildungsanbietern mit Hilfe von Programmanalysen über einen Zeitraum von drei Jahrzehnten erfasst. Eine solche längsschnittliche Vollerhebung erlaubt die Beobachtung der Wirkungen von Modernisierungsstrategien sowohl auf der System-, der Organisations- als auch der Interaktionsebene.
