 abstract = {"Mitte November 2003 (14.-15.11.2003) organisierte das Informationszentrum Sozialwissenschaften, Abteilung Informationstransfer Osteuropa, einen Workshop zum Thema 'The East European Social Sciences: Research Conditions and the Role of Information/Communication'. Sozialwissenschaftler aus dreizehn mittelost- und osteuropäischen Ländern diskutierten Probleme der Informationsversorgung der Sozialwissenschaftler in Osteuropa und Möglichkeiten der Unterstützung durch die GESIS Servicestelle Osteuropa. Basis der Workshop-Diskussion bildete ein vom IZ entwickelter Fragen-Leitfaden zu den Forschungsbedingungen und zur Informationsversorgung der osteuropäischen Sozialwissenschaftler, anhand dessen die Teilnehmer im Vorfeld des Workshops schriftliche Statements (country reports) abgaben.
