Dieser Beitrag berichtet vom ABC's Online-Projekt (Wilden, 2006), einer Studie zur Selbst- und Fremdwahrnehmung in einem interkulturellen englisch-deutschen Onlineaustausch. Die Studie ist in der Fremdsprachenlehr- und -lernforschung angesiedelt und untersucht mit Hilfe der inhaltlich-strukturierenden qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse die im Onlineaustauschprozess erhobenen Daten. Der Beitrag skizziert das inhaltsanalytische Vorgehen in der Studie und diskutiert insbesondere diesbezügliche offene Fragen: (a) Wie kann die Qualitative Inhaltsanalyse in einer Längsschnittstudie eingesetzt werden? (b) Wie kann mit der Qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse die Wechselseitigkeit und Dynamik von diskursiven Daten (aus dem Onlineaustausch) erfasst werden? In der Diskussion dieser Fragen werden verschiedene mögliche Lösungsvorschläge dargelegt. This article reports on the ABC's Online project (Wilden, 2006) which is a study about the Self and the Other in an English-German intercultural online exchange. The study is situated in the field of foreign language research and uses qualitative content analysis to investigate data from the online exchange. The article briefly demonstrates how the qualitative content analysis approach is employed in the study. In particular, it focuses on the following questions: (a) How can qualitative content analysis be utilised in a longitudinal study? (b) How can qualitative content analysis capture the reciprocity and dynamics of discourse data (from the online exchange)? In discussing these questions several possible solutions will be presented.
