"Today children's well-being is seen as a multidimensional concept including the various aspects of child development and the social conditions of this development. As part of a social reporting for children this concept aims to improve the living conditions of children. This topic has a long tradition in the Anglo-Saxon countries. It offers the possibility to replace the classic deficit model of socialization research by concepts which take the perspective of the child as the actor's view. The specific social and psychological conditions are designated as well to allow children’s participation in the social development." (author's abstract)... view less
