Tabuisierte Männlichkeiten: der öffentliche Diskurs über Homosexualität in der deutschen Fußballbundesliga

Abstract

"Ausgehend von der Annahme, dass das Fußball-Dispositiv männerhündisch organisiert ist und durch Diskurse und Praktiken männliche Homosexualität tabuisiert, untersucht die vorliegende Kritische Diskursanalyse die Funktion der öffentlichen Debatte über 'Homosexualität und Fußball' in Deutschland. Diesbezüglich ist aus geschlechtersoziologischer Perspektive festzustellen, dass der unablässige mediale 'Aufruf zum Outing' einem 'Aufruf zur Ordnung' entspricht: Homosexuelle Fußballprofis sollen sich zu ihrer sexuellen Orientierung bekennen, um identifiziert und alterisiert werden zu können." "The critical discourse studies the rote of the public debate on 'homosexuality and football' in Germany. The analysis is based on the fact that the football dispositive is male-centred. Furthermore the football dispositive taboos male homosexuality through certain discourses and practices. From the point of view of a sociology of gender it was discovered that the constant medial 'request for an outing' equates a 'request for order': homosexual football players are expected to confess their sexual orientation in order to be identified and alienated."
