Abstract

"Neoliberalisierung und Punitivität bestimmen die Marschrichtung der westlichen Gesellschaften, auch wenn beide Entwicklungen keineswegs einheitlich und ohne Widersprüche verlaufen. Das gemeinsame Prinzip und die Quelle der Lust auf Strafe freizulegen, verlagert die Perspektive von der Oberfläche der Auswirkungen punitiver Politik auf die Einbettungen des Straf- und Kontrollsystems in soziale, wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Bedingungen. Es geht hierbei um die Homologien des pönalen Feldes mit den Strukturveränderungen der Gesellschaft und ihren sonstigen Teilsystemen der Ökonomie, der Politik, der Kultur und des Sozialen. Die politische Ökonomie der westlichen Gesellschaften seit den 1980er Jahren, so die hier zu verfolgende These, treibt die Straflust an und schreibt die strafrechtliche Kontrolle um." "Western societies are determined by neo-liberalization and punitiveness, even though both developments run by no means uniform and without contradictions. The common principle and the exposure of the source of the desire for repression shifted the perspective. Moving past the mere impact of punitive policies, embedding crime control into social, economic and cultural conditions. This article deals with the homologies in the field of crime control, the structural changes of society and its subsystems of the economy, politics, culture and the social. According to the thesis pursued, the political-economic structural changes of Western societies since the 1980s, promoted the desire for repression and altered crime control." (author's abstract)
