Inter- und intragenerationale Vergemeinschaftungen im (Trans)Lokalen: Grenzbearbeitungen junger Erwachsener im Zusammenspiel der Erfahrungskontexte Generation und Migration

Abstract

"Im Übergang zum Erwachsenenalter verhandeln sie die elterliche Migrationsgeschichte, indem sie grenzüberschreitende Handlungs- und Zugehörigkeitspraktiken lokal und transnational herstellen. Das wechselseitige Verhältnis von Lokalität und Transnationalität wird mit Bezug auf physische wie soziale Lokalitäten untersucht. Hierfür diskutiert der Artikel das wissenstheoretische Konzept der "konjunktiven Erfahrungsräume" (Mannheim 1964) unter einer grenzanalytischen Perspektive. Es wird gefragt, wie die jungen Erwachsenen in der Überlagerung migrations- und generationsspezifischer Erfahrungsräume Grenzen bearbeiten, d.h. verhandeln, herstellen und transformieren." "The children of migrant parents are indeed not only passive members in the whole migration process. In the transition from childhood to adulthood they negotiate the parental migration history by constructing cross-border practices and belongings locally and transnationally. The relation of locality and transnationality will be worked out addressing locality as physical space and in the meaning of social locations. Therefore the article discusses the theoretical concept of 'conjunctive spaces of experiences' (Mannheim 1964) from a border-sensitive perspective. The article asks how the young adults negotiate, produce and transform borders in the interplay of migration and generation oriented spaces of experiences." (author's abstract)
