Handlungsorientiertes Positionspapier

Abstract

"Das Positionspapier greift die Fragestellungen auf, die von den Mitgliedern des Arbeitskreises im Zusammenhang mit den 'Räumlichen Auswirkungen internationaler Migration' als fundamentale Herausforderungen für Wissenschaft, Praxis und Politik erachtet werden. Zunächst wird das mit der internationalen Migration eng verknüpfte Thema 'Integration' aus verschiedenen Perspektiven in Bezug auf konzeptionelle Überlegungen sowie Stadtentwicklungspolitik diskutiert. Es folgen Aussagen zu Aspekten wie Multidirektionalität internationaler Migration, Diversität, Umgang mit räumlicher Konzentration und ungleicher kleinräumiger Verteilung der Bevölkerung mit Migrationshintergrund und die Betrachtung von Integration als ganzheitlicher und an Diversität orientierter Aufgabe. Die jeweiligen Ausführungen schließen Handlungsempfehlungen für Wissenschaft, Praxis und Politik ein." (Autorenreferat)

"The paper addresses issues connected to the 'Spatial Effects of International Migration' that are judged by the members of the working group to represent fundamental challenges for academia, practice and politics. 'Integration', a topic closely connected to international migration, is initially discussed from various perspectives in relation to both conceptual considerations and urban development policy. Attention then turns to aspects such as the multidirectionality of international migration, diversity, dealing with spatial concentration and the uneven small-scale distribution of populations with a migration background, and the consideration of integration as a holistic task focused on diversity. The individual discussions include recommendations for action for academia, practice and politics." (author's abstract)
