"Im Mittelpunkt des Artikels stehen die Wohnstandortentscheidungen türkeistämmiger Eigentümer(innen) der zweiten Generation. Die Studie fragt nach den Motiven und Rahmenbedingungen, die entweder zu einem Verbleib der Eigentümer(innen) in Migrantenvierteln oder aber zu ihrem Fortzug führen. Die Grundlage der Analyse bilden quantitative Datengrundlagen und qualitative Interviews mit Eigentümerhaushalten in Stadtteilen Duisburgs mit hohem sowie niedrigem Migrantenanteil. Ergebnis der Studie ist, dass die Standortentscheidungen der eigentumsbildenden Haushalte maßgeblich durch drei verschiedene Entscheidungsdimensionen geprägt werden: die Investitionsstrategie der Eigentümer(innen), die Form ihrer Familienorientierung sowie ihre soziale Positionierung." "The article focuses on residential mobility and neighbourhood choice of second generation homeowners of Turkish descent. The study investigates the motives and conditions that cause Turkish households acquiring property to either stay put or to leave urban neighbourhoods characterised by a high share of migrants. The analysis is based on quantitative data and qualitative interviews with homeowners in neighbourhoods in Duisburg both with a high and with a low proportion of migrants. The study's results show that neighbourhood choice is significantly influenced by three decision dimensions: owners’ investment strategies, their family orientations and their process of social positioning."
