Das russische geschichtsphilosophische Denken: Grundmotive und aktuelle Resonanz

Abstract

'Das Vorhaben der vorliegenden Untersuchung ist, die Grundideen der russischen klassischen nichtmarxistischen Geschichtsphilosophie sowie die Besonderheiten ihrer gegenwärtigen Rezeption darzustellen und zu analysieren. Die Motive, die uns zu dieser Studie angeregt haben, sind zweifacher Art. Die Geschichtsphilosophie war - neben der Ethik und der Religionsphilosophie - stets das bevorzugte Feld philosophischen Denkens in Rußland. Andererseits - im Unterschied zu manchen hochabstrakten Teilen der Philosophie - hat die Geschichtsphilosophie oft zwar vermittelte, aber durchaus deutliche politische Implikationen. Aus den verschiedenen geschichtsphilosophischen Theorien schöpfen die Ideologen und manchmal selbst die Führer der politischen Strömungen Argumente zur Begründung ihrer Hoffnungen und Pläne. Somit wirft die Analyse der russischen geschichtsphilosophischen Tradition auch Licht auf die Gegenwart. Sie zeigt Hintergründe, die konzeptionellen Wurzeln vieler zeitgenössischer Denkmuster, politischer und gesellschaftlicher Grundsätze und Einstellungen.' (Autorenreferat)

'The aim of this study is to outline and analyse the basic ideas of classical, non-Marxist Russian philosophy of history and the special features concerning the way it is currently being perceived. The analysis was motivated by two considerations. Along with ethics and the philosophy of religion, the philosophy of history has always been the favourite field of philosophical thougt in Russia. In addition - unlike many highly abstract areas of philosophy - the philosophy of history often has indirect but nonetheless clear political implications. Ideologists and sometimes even the leaders of political movements derive arguments form the various theories of the philosophy of history to justify their own aspirations and plans. Thus, an analysis of the Russian tradition in the philosophy of history also sheds light on the present. It shows the background to and the conceptional roots of many contemporary modes of thought and political and social principles and attitudes.' (author's abstract)
