The international conference 'NeuroCultures - NeuroGenderings II' was held at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna from 13 to 15 September 2012. Discussions focused on whether and how sex differences have effects on the brain and in what ways neuroscience constructs sex/gender. Some 150 participants reflected on new neuroscientific methods and results, considered popular accounts of brain and gender from a critical point of view, and drafted alternative perspectives and research approaches."
