"After the cultural turn human-natural relationships need to be reconsidered. The feminist critique of political economy and the critical approach of queer ecologies allow new perspectives on the binary and hierarchical construction of nature and culture. Haraway's 'naturecultures' concept describes the concomitance of nature and culture. Analysing the materiality of economic and human-natural relationships introduces fresh perspectives into the ecological discourse, which might inspire a feminist approach to environmental policy. The concept of resource politics provides the tools for environmental policy to consider global ecological developments while at the same time focusing radically on local environmental and living conditions."
