"From a cross-nationally comparative perspective, this report provides a thorough overview of the relationship between parenthood an work. To start with, the paper first provides an over-view of institutional framework conditions that affect work-family reconciliation in European countries. Subsequently, employment patterns of men and women are being reconstructed, and it is analyzed in how these patterns can be systematically traced back to nation-specific approaches in employment and family policy. Finally, the report investigates in how far the nation-specific reconciliation arrangements translate into specific patterns of work family con-flict."[author´s abstract]... view less
