"The article compares the economic theory of cultural evolution and Weberian economic sociology in respect to their explanations of co-operation and moral behaviour in the economy. Their strengths and weaknesses will be elaborated and compared with regard to action theory and the explanation of the emergence of economic order. The article demonstrates that Weberian economic sociology includes the economic theory of cultural evolution as one important part and thus Weberian economic sociology is able to explain more aspects of co-operation and moral behaviour in the economy."
