"Der Beitrag entfaltet die Grundidee und die theoretischen Implikationen einer Ethik der Governance. In der Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik geht es demnach um die Steuerung, Führung und Kontrolle der moralischen Dimension distinker ökonomischer Transaktionen. Die Untersuchung liefert im zweiten Teil eine vergleichende Diskussion der Governanceethik mit der Wirtschaftsethik Karl Homanns." (Autorenreferat)

"This study resulted from an invitation of the zfwu editorial office. They asked me to elucidate and develop my thoughts regarding an ethics of governance (Wieland 1999) in a dispute with the concept of a 'business ethics with economic method' (Homann 1999a; 1999b). At first (1.) I will develop the basic presumptions of a theory of the ethics of governance and (2.) explain them. This will be followed (3.) by an analysis of the micro-political coefficient matrix which essentially ensures the implementation reference of the ethics of governance. In chapter (4.) I will submit - alternative to hierarchic and dualistic concepts - a mechanism of allocation for the 'economy and ethics' ratio which can be characterized as 'recursive cross-linking'. The completion (5.) will be a comparison of this approach with the economic business ethics." (author's abstract)
