"Economists are used to see employees as means of production. It is the task of ethics to attract attention to the special quality of human beings. In contrast to machines they have dignity. The article tries to point out what this means for the management of human resources in enterprises. First different approaches of ethical thought are described. Second these approaches are applied to the field of human resource management.
