Arbeitspolitik als Anwendungsgebiet von "Rational Choice"

Abstract

"In dem Beitrag wird vorgeschlagen, die Industriellen Beziehungen und Arbeitsmarktanalyse als spezifisches Anwendungsgebiet individualistischer Sozialwissenschaft zu konzipieren. Zunächst werden die Grundzüge des Forschungsprogramms des Methodologischen Individualismus kurz zusammengefasst. Anschließend wird diese allgemeine Theorie auf zentrale Probleme der Industriellen Beziehungen bezogen (u.a. korporative Akteure). Danach werden die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten anhand eines ausgewählten, aktuellen Beispiels, der Regulierung auf EU-Ebene, systematisch dargestellt. Schließlich werden Kompatibilitäten und Inkompatibilitäten mit anderen, in der aktuellen Diskussion häufig verwandten Programmen und Theorien aufgezeigt." (Autorenreferat)

"The main proposal contribution of this paper is the to conceptualizeation of industrial relations and labor market analysis as a specific field of application of individualistic social science. First of all, the fundamentals of the research programme of methodological individualism are briefly summarized. Then, this general theory is applied to focal problems of industrial relations (corporate actors, among others). Next, possibilities of systematic application are presented by means of a selected, most recent example:, i.e. regulation at the EU level. Finally, the article explores compatibilities and incompatibilities with other programmes and theories frequently used in the present discussion are demonstrated." (author's abstract)
