Das Kulturlandschaftsprojekt Ostthüringen

Abstract

Im Auftrag der Regionalen Planungsgemeinschaft Ostthüringen führte der Fachbereich Landschaftsarchitektur der Fachhochschule Erfurt im Jahr 2004 ein einjähriges Forschungsvorhaben zur Kulturlandschaft Ostthüringens durch. Das Forschungsumfeld gestaltete sich dabei günstig: In der Region wurden bereits im Vorfeld vielfältige Diskurse zum Wert und zur Entwicklung der Kulturlandschaft geführt, die in eine intensive Zusammenarbeit im Rahmen des Forschungsvorhabens mündeten. Der Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über Methodik und wesentliche Ergebnisse des Vorhabens.

The cultural landscape project for eastern Thuringia In 2004, the department of landscape architecture at the Fachhochschule Erfurt (university of applied sciences) carried out a one-year research project on behalf of the Regional Planning Association for Eastern Thuringia to study the cultural landscape of eastern Thuringia. The research environment was particularly favourable: a wide-ranging discourse had already taken place in the region in advance of the research project on the value and the development of the cultural landscape; this subsequently provided a basis for intensive co-operation within the framework of the research project. This paper provides an overview of the methodology adopted in the project and of the key findings.
