Ein Plädoyer für kritische Perspektiven in der qualitativen Forschung

Abstract

Die Herausbildung eines kritischen Poststrukturalismus in den USA hat die zunächst in der Anthropologie diagnostizierte "Krise der Repräsentation" auch in der qualitativen Forschung zu einem zentralen Problem gemacht. Dies führte zu einer Dekonstruktion der Grundlagen der traditionellen Sozialforschung, zur Berücksichtigung ethischer Fragestellungen und zur Suche nach neuen Formen der Validität. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden in diesem Beitrag verschiedene Methoden und Forschungsstrategien einer kritischen qualitativen Forschung vorgestellt und untersucht. Es sind dies der interpretative Interaktionismus, die Autoethnografie und die performance ethnography. Dabei wird auch der damit verbundene Aufruf zum Engagement, der zu kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen beitragen möchte, diskutiert.

The formation of critical poststructuralism in the United States has fundamentally transformed qualitative research. The crisis of representation first discussed in anthropology has had the effect of rethinking the foundations of qualitative research by putting ethical questions on the agenda and stimulating a search for new forms of validity. Against this backdrop, this study will analyze different methods and research strategies in critical qualitative inquiry, such as interpretive interactionism, autoethnography, and performance ethnography. The call to action inherent in these strategies and further contributions to cultural and social change will be discussed.

La formación del postestructuralismo crítico en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica ha transformado fundamentalmente la investigación cualitativa. La crisis de representación primero discutida en antropología ha tenido el efecto de replantear los fundamentos de la investigación cualitativa al introducir cuestionamientos éticos en la agenda y estimular la búsqueda de nuevas formas de validez. En tal panorama, este estudio analizará diferentes métodos y estrategias de investigación de la indagación cualitativa crítica, como el interaccionismo interpretativo, la autoetnografía, y la etnografía performance. Se discutirán la llamada a la acción inherente en estas estrategias y nuevas contribuciones al cambio cultural y social.
