Abstract

'Der Mikrozensus ist eine Repräsentativstatistik über die Bevölkerung und den Arbeitsmarkt, der von der amtlichen Statistik seit l957 im früheren Bundesgebiet und seit 1991 auch in den neuen Bundesländern durchgeführt wird. Der Aufsatz gibt einen Überblick über die Aufgaben und Funktionen des Mikrozensus, seine wesentlichen inhaltlichen und methodischen Grundelemente, seinen Nutzen für die sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung und seine Entwicklung.' 'The microcensus is a sample survey about the population and the labour market which has been carried out in West Germany by the Federal Office for official Statistics (Statistisches Bundesamt) since l957 and in the five new federal states since 1991. The paper provides an overview of the goals of the microcensus, its development, and its main characteristics, contents and methodological features. It also outlines potential uses of the microcensus for the social sciences. The paper gives an overview of the tasks and functions of the microcensus.' (author's abstract)|
