(Autorenreferat)... view less

'In this paper, the willingness to participate in surveys is analyzed on the basis of data from the evaluation of the project 'City of Science 2005 Bremen/ Bremerhaven'. For this purpose multi-level-models are used, which estimate individual and contextual influences simultaneously. In the empirical analysis only little variance is found on the level of the urban districts. As a consequence it is suggested to include smaller contexts in future analyses of the determinants of survey participation.' (author's abstract)|... view less
