Transformation der Logistik

Abstract

"Neue Konzepte der Logistik- und Transportorganisation verändern die räumliche und funktionale Arbeitsteilung in Europa. Im Zuge der Entwicklung des Europäischen Binnenmarktes gewinnen transnationale und erweiterte Logistikleistungen eine zentrale Rolle bei der Steuerung grenzüberschreitender Produktionsnetzwerke. Die Beiträge in diesem Discussion Paper thematisieren zentrale Momente, die zukunftsweisende Entwicklungslinien markieren: Untersucht werden Aspekte der (europäischen) Regulierung eines integrierten Transport- und Logistiksektors, transnationale Wirkungszusammenhänge der logistischen Reorganisation sowie die Konturen 'hybrider' Logistikkonzerne und der neuartigen produktionsbezogenen Dienstleistungsbranche als Forschungsfeld der Industriesoziologie. In der Zusammenschau dieser Facetten wird erkennbar, daß in Logistikorganisationen Problemlösungen gesucht werden, welche sich aus dem Zusammentreffen der radikalisierten Dezentralisierung mit der Intensivierung von Vernetzungsanforderungen entlang der Prozeßketten einerseits und aus der Vermittlung zwischen (regionalen) Produktionsnetzwerken mit 'globalisierten' Märkten andererseits ergeben." "New organizational concepts in logistics and transport lead to profound changes in the geographical and functional division of labor in Europe. In the process of developing the European common market transnational and expanded logistics services are of central importance to steer multinational production networks. The contributions in this discussion paper focus on central aspects of particular importance to the future direction of development: Examined are aspects of (European) regulation of an integrated transport and logistics sector, transnational implications of logistical reorganization, and characteristics of 'hybrid' logistics companies and the new production related services branch as a field of research in industrial sociology. Considering these various aspects, it becomes visible that logistics organizations search for problem solving strategies which react upon the simultaneous process of radicalized decentralization and increasing demands on networking along process chains on the one hand, and mediate (regional) production networks with 'globalized' markets on the other hand."
