Considering Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union: For Azerbaijan, Disadvantages Outweigh Advantages

Abstract

This article weighs the costs and benefits of Azerbaijan joining the Eurasian Economic Union. In analyzing the advantages and disadvantages, the author discusses the economic and social features of accession and concludes that such a move is unlikely given the high political and economic price Azerbaijan would pay.
