abstract = {In 2018, Ukraine launched a massive reform in education called the New Ukrainian School (NUS). This article examines the main ideas of NUS across all levels of schooling, highlighting both the achievements and challenges of its implementation. Reforms in education are generally complex, because they affect a wide range of stakeholders. However, in Ukraine education has faced extreme challenges in the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian full-scale war against Ukraine. Therefore, the paper focuses on the influence of these circumstances on the educational system of the country as it pilots and implements NUS.},
