%X The first National Action Plan to Prevent and Combat Trafficking in Human Beings and Protect Trafficked Persons (NAP) was published on 11 December 2024. With the NAP, the Federal Government is implementing a key new provision just five months after the entry into force of EU Directive 2024/1712 amending the EU Directive on combating trafficking in human beings. This statement reflects on current and planned measures and identifies further areas where action is required with regard to the NAP.
