The article discusses the problems of applying a relatively new institution of urban planning legislation: cancellation of territory planning documentation, recognition of certain parts of such documentation inapplicable. The author tries to identify the differences between the cancellation of such documentation and the recognition of its individual parts as inapplicable, considers a number of issues related to the possibility of canceling the territory planning documentation that meets the legal requirements. Attention is also paid to the determination of the list of the persons authorized to cancel the territory planning documentation, the need for public hearings in the process of such cancellation.
