Healthcare tasks are among the responsibilities of municipalities in Poland. The aim of this research was to assess the activities of municipalities in the field of healthcare, taking into account the opinions of both urban and rural residents, and to identify the main problemareas. The survey was conducted using a diagnostic survey on a consumer panel with a sample of 385 respondents. The results indicate that the majority of respondents ratedaccess to primary healthcare within their municipality as average or good. Significant differences were observed in the assessment of the availability of health services, the number of facilities, and the organization of pro-health events among groups with different places of residence (provincial city, non-provincial city, rural area). Moreover, the responses indicate that residents have limited knowledge of health programmes implemented by municipalities and that their opinions are rarely taken into account health matters.... view less
