The subject of the article is health policy from the point of view of medical personnel. It analyses legal regulations concerning the process of expanding the competencies and changing roles of medical professionals, including physicians and dentists, nurses and midwives, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and emergency medical personnel. The aim of the study is an attempt to answer the question of whether the changes taking place in the education of medical professionals in Poland after the COVID-19 pandemic will allow for the construction of a healthcare system that responds effectively to changes and is resistant to future crises. The analysis made it possible to formulate conclusions that can be used for legislative work and create a coherent health policy aimed at providing effective and sustainable health services. Changes should focus on: providing flexible education programs for all health professions, delegating some tasks to non-medical professions and strengthening the link between education and the practice and responsibility of health professionals.de
