Mehr als Feuerwehr?! Konjunkturen und Widersprüche der gesellschaftlichen Bearbeitung autoritärer Bewegungen am Beispiel der Mobilen Beratung gegen rechts

Abstract

Am Beispiel der historischen Entwicklung der Mobilen Beratung gegen Rechtsextremismus verdeutlicht der Beitrag, dass die gesellschaftliche Bearbeitung von Autoritarismus und rechter Gewalt in der BRD stets konflikthaft erfolgte. Sowohl politische Bildung als auch Soziale Arbeit wurden von der Politik als Feuerwehr angerufen - innerhalb der Professionen und sozialen Bewegungen regte sich zugleich Widerstand gegen Vereinnahmung und Externalisierungsbestrebungen. Ausgehend von leitfadengestützten Interviews werden Widersprüche der Beratungspraxis aufgezeigt. Tentativ fragt der Beitrag, ob sich in der Demokratieförderung eine Regierung der Zivilgesellschaft abzeichnet.

Using the example of the historical development of mobile counseling against the far right, the article illustrates that the social treatment of authoritarianism and right-wing violence in the Federal Republic of Germany was always conflictual. Both political education and social work were called upon by politicians as a fire department - at the same time, resistance against appropriation and externalization efforts arose within the professions and social movements. Based on guided interviews, contradictions in counseling practice are highlighted. Tentatively, the article asks whether a government of civil society is emerging in the promotion of democracy.
