(Autorenreferat)... view less

'The disintegration of the Soviet Union brought with it the breakdown of the uniform economic complex that had functioned according to the rules of a planned economy. These rules also prescribed that the state had a monopoly on economic relations with the outside world, relations which were quite commonly established out of purely political considerations and sometime to the disadvantage of the economy. At the moment, the economies of the former Soviet Republics are undergoing a transition to regionalism, with individual administrative units acting more and more frequently as subjects of international economic relations, this necessitating a transformation of the existing international transportations system. The present work portrays the status as of mid-1996.' (author's abstract)... view less
