Ausgehend von der Feststellung, das Arbeitslosigkeit subjektive Kompetenzerfahrung und Zeiterleben zerstören kann, wird anhand einer Fallstudie (Anfang 40-jährige weibliche Führungskraft) gezeigt, wie besonders hohe berufliche Beanspruchung - als Logik der Simultanität beschrieben - bei Verantwortungsträgern zum verinnerlichten Selbstanspruch wird. Kann dieser durch Verlust des Arbeitsplatzes nicht in gewohnter Weise verwirklicht werden, droht zunächst eine dissoziative Störung. Die Fragmentierung des äußeren Rahmens wird auf der subjektiven Ebene als Depersonalisation ausgedrückt. Es wird aber auch deutlich, wie eine Wiedergewinnung der individuellen Potentiale durch eine retrospektive Neubewertung von Kompetenzerfahrung zu einer alternativen inneren wie äußeren Struktur führen kann.... view less

Unemployment undermines the subject's experience of his own competence and his particular and established perception of time. The case study of a former manager illustrating an average level of professional ambition is often typified by the execution of varying degrees of multi-tasking, and as inheriting the internalized and selfimposed demands typical of the high potentials that bear the responsibility for an institution. If this self-imposed demand is no longer directed toward a set of realizable work-related goals, initially a dissociative reaction occurs. The fragmentation of the subjects existing frame of reference is subjectively experienced as depersonalisation. But it is shown, that ultimately the subject regains her individual potentialities while proceeding to value her former experiences of competence in a new way; which leads to an alternate internal and external structure.... view less
