This paper uses a general stakeholder approach on internal communication to analyse data from a long-term survey concerning the use of internal social media among German companies. The surveys took place from 2013 to 2022 and include data from more than 500 companies. The results show specific trends regarding workplace preference, where work from home is less preferred over the timeframe. The most preferred are mixed forms of work. We thus conclude that a successful internal social media communication is needed to fulfil the potential of flexible workplace with flexible working hours.... view less
