The current arms race is an alarming symptom of the warmongering drift that threatens the world. The elites who control the military-industrial complex are fanning the flames of war to increase their profits, even if this means bringing us closer to the nuclear abyss. The conflict between powers, such as China, Russia, the UK, and the US generates challenges in arms control and nuclear non-proliferation, which has led to the collapse of the treaties and has prompted large-scale confrontation.
