Women are part of transnational organizations dedicated to drug trafficking and human trafficking, gangs, and maras in which they can play different roles at all levels of the hierarchical structure. The reasons for entry include: the conditions of inequality and poverty, which shape certain biographical trajectories in which the saving option of criminal work appears; the forms of socialization associated with patriarchal culture; the idea of sacrifice and abnegation typical of "romantic love;" and the changes of times. Mujeres hacen parte de organizaciones transnacionales dedicadas al narcotráfico y a la trata de personas, pandillas y maras en las que pueden desempeñar diferentes roles a lo largo de todos los niveles de la estructura jerárquica. Como razones para el ingreso se destacan: las condiciones de desigualdad y pobreza que configuran ciertas trayectorias biográficas donde aparece la opción salvadora del trabajo criminal; las formas de socialización asociadas a la cultura patriarcal; la idea del sacrificio y la abnegación propias del “amor romántico”; y los cambios de época.
