Given its ambitious integration agenda, including the creation of a genuine internal market and a common external trade policy, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was expected to affect Russia’s place in regional and global food trade. To date, however, the EAEU has performed below its potential as a vehicle for growth.
