Doch während sich die Forschung international verstetigt und ausdifferenziert, scheint sie in Deutschland bisher eher marginal. Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über den Forschungsstand und beleuchtet Schwerpunkte und Leerstellen bisheriger Forschung. Menstruation is increasingly becoming a subject of the social sciences. However, while menstruation research is a growing and differentiating field at the international level, research in this area in Germany seems to be rather marginal so far. The article provides an overview of the state of the art and highlights research focuses and gaps in previous research. This serves as the basis for outlining criteria for intersectional menstruation research that is critical of power and domination and that can be used in feminist theory and practice.... view less
