Abstract
Der Kurzbeitrag widmet sich der Frage, wie illustrierte Journale als mediale Neuerfindung des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts "Welt.Wissen.Gestalte(te)n" und folgt dazu praktischen wie theoretischen Verbindungen zwischen Kunst und Wissenschaft, zwischen Wissensgeschichte und Wissenschaftsgeschichte.
This short article is dedicated to the question of how illustrated journals as a medial invention of the early nineteenth century shaped social (world) knowledge, conflating practices and theories of both the arts and the sciences, the history of knowledge, and the history of the sciences.
