Abstract

Die Digitalisierung umfasst alle Bereiche des Lebens - und ist so auch für Theologie und Kirche relevant. Dabei geht es nicht nur um die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Social Media, sondern Digitalisierung wird in diesem Sammelband als Phänomen verstanden, das mit Hilfe unterschiedlicher Technologie, wie beispielsweise Künstlicher Intelligenz, Gesellschaft, Kirche und Theologie prägen. Theologie und Kirche stellen in diesem Zusammenhang zum einen Orte der Digitalisierung dar und gleichzeitig kann mit Hilfe theologischen Denkens der Diskurs über Digitalisierung weitergetrieben werden. Der Sammelband ist theologisch-ökumenisch ausgerichtet und verankert sich in einem internationalen Kontext. Der Forschungsschwerpunkt der Herausgebenden liegt in der Ethik.

Digitalisation encompasses all areas of life and is thus also relevant for theology and the Church. This is not just about the possible uses of social media; in this anthology, digitalisation is understood as a phenomenon that shapes society, the Church and theology with the help of various technologies, such as artificial intelligence. In this context, theology and the Church represent places of digitalisation on the one hand, and, at the same time, the discourse on digitalisation can be advanced with the help of theological thinking on the other. This anthology is both theologically ecumenical and is anchored in an international context. The editors' research focus is on ethics.
