(Multilokales) Wohnen

Abstract

Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit unterschiedlichen Facetten des Wohnens in Bezug auf multilokales Wohnen: Ausgehend von der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Wohnbegriff wird der Wandel des Wohnens im Kontext der Spätmoderne skizziert. Dabei wird multilokales Wohnen als ein Aspekt der Ausdifferenzierung von Wohn- und Lebensformen thematisiert. Mit dem Wandel des Wohnens geht auch der Wandel von Wohnbiografien einher, die weniger linear verlaufen als früher und zunehmend auch Phasen vielfältigen multilokalen Wohnens beinhalten. Und so vielfältig wie die Ausprägungsformen des multilokalen Wohnens sind, so vielfältig sind auch die dafür genutzten Behausungsformen. Vor diesem Hintergrund kann Wohnen als multidimensionale sozialräumliche Praxis beschrieben werden.

This article deals with different facets of dwelling related to multilocal living. The starting point is the discussion of the term 'dwelling'. Subsequently it is argued that social change in the context of late modernity significantly affects dwelling in so far as it fuels differentiation, and that one of the characteristics of the differentiation is the rise of multilocal living arrangements. Along with this differentiation, residential biographies also change: they are less linear than in the past, and they increasingly include phases of residential multilocality. The forms of multilocal living are manifold as is the accommodation used by multilocals. In the light of the above, multilocal living can be outlined as a multidimensional socio-spatial practice.
