Mit Blick auf die durch die Digitalisierung entstehenden neuen Arbeitsprozesse und damit verbundenen Kompetenzanforderungen an die Beschäftigten bleiben die Aussagen im Industrie 4.0-Diskurs eher vage. Der Beitrag diskutiert anhand erster empirischer Ergebnisse des BMBF-Projekts "Berufliche Professionalität im produzierenden Gewerbe" sich wandelnde Aufgaben und Kompetenzanforderungen der mittleren Qualifizierungsebene. Ziel des Aufsatzes ist es, die Diskussion um Industrie 4.0 auf der Arbeitsebene - Arbeiten 4.0 - mittels erster empirischer Daten zu konkretisieren. Die Rolle der menschlichen Arbeitskraft wird sich mittels Industrie 4.0 verändern. In welche Richtung dies gehen wird, ist noch ungewiss. The statements in the Industry 4.0 stay-discourse remain rather vague concerning the new work processes and related skills requirements for employees. The role of human labor will change by industry 4.0. In which direction will go, is still uncertain. The article discusses changing tasks and competence requirements of the average level of qualification. For this article sketches first empirical results of an empirical study about "Vocational professionalism in the manufacturing sector". The aim of this paper is to concretise the discussion of industry 4.0 at the working level - work 4.0 - based on first empirical data.... view less
