Die UN-Konvention für die Rechte behinderter Menschen (2006) fordert einen Paradigmenwechsel von einer Politik der Wohltätigkeit zu einer Politik der Menschenrechte. Ihre Leitprinzipien sind ein selbstbestimmtes Leben und volle und gleichberechtigte gesellschaftliche Inklusion von allen behinderten Menschen. Die Forderungen der Konvention stellen eine große Herausforderung für unser Verständnis von sozialer Gerechtigkeit dar. Deshalb werden hier die drei wichtigsten Konzeptionen sozialer Gerechtigkeit für behinderte Menschen diskutiert. Alle drei Konzepte beanspruchen implizit oder explizit behinderte Menschen mit einem hohen Bedarf an Unterstützung und Sorge gleichermaßen zu berücksichtigen. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006) calls for a paradigm shift from a policy of welfare to a policy of human rights. The guiding principles are independent living and full and effective inclusion in society of all persons with disabilities. The demands of the convention pose a great challenge to our understanding of social justice. Hence, the three most popular concepts of social justice for disabled people are being discussed. All three concepts are based explicitly or implicitly on the accounts of inclusiveness and universality regarding people with great demands for care and support.
