In this article, I introduce a research perspective which combines the analysis of family and life histories with the analysis of places. I define the terms place and emplacement as being processual and spatial at the same time, aiming at a combination of the sociology of space and biographical research. I detail how the identification of places and emplacement can be done practically in the research process by using the conception of heuristic research spaces. In diesem Beitrag stelle ich eine Forschungsperspektive vor, mit der die Analyse von familien- und lebensgeschichtlichen Verläufen und die Analyse von Orten verknüpft werden kann. Dafür definiere ich die Begriffe Ort und Verortung als prozessual und räumlich zugleich. Das soll zu einer Verbindung von Raumsoziologie und Biografieforschung beitragen. Ich zeige auf, wie die Identifikation von Orten und Verortungen durch die Konzeption heuristischer Forschungsräume forschungspraktisch geleistet werden kann und verdeutliche anhand eines Falls aus meiner empirischen Forschung in der Jerusalemer Altstadt, welchen analytischen Mehrwert die Analyse von Orten und Verortungen haben kann.... view less
