En este artículo se analiza el proyecto de organización política y sindical de Vicente Lombardo Toledano para América Latina. La CTAL se convirtió, en la propuesta lombardista de integración latinoamericana, de defensa de los intereses nacionales e independencia política y económica de Latinoamérica. Surgió del seno de la CTM bajo la influencia del cardenismo, producto del internacionalismo proletario de la CTM en los años treinta. La CTAL, dirigida por Lombardo en sus 25 años de existencia (1938-1963), contribuyó a la unidad sindical de cada país latinoamericano y a la creación de centrales sindicales nacionales, pugnando por la implantación de un proyecto nacionalista, creación de frentes populares y alianza de clases contra el imperialismo.... view less

This article deals with Vicente Lombardo Toledanos's project of building a Latin American integration movement towards the assertion of their national interests and their political and economic independence through the Latin America's Workers Confederation. This organization was the result of both the foundation of the National Confederation of Union Workers during the Cárdenas administration in Mexico during the '30 and the spreading of the proletarian internationalist ideology. For 25 years (1938-1963) Lombargo was the leader of this Confederation. All his activities helped to the improvement of worker’s unions. In every Latin American country appeared national central unions that searched for a nationalist project and fostered popular fronts and a class alliance against imperialism.... view less
