Los procesos de mundializaci6n capitalista conllevan grandes amenazas para gran parte de los pueblos y para muchos sectores de población de distintas sociedades, así como para las expresiones identitarias con que se hubieren dotado. Pero semejantes procesos abren también la posibilidad de nuevas formas, más reflexivas, de construir la propia identidad y de conformarse como sujetos, para los individuos y las distintas formas de colectividad social y cultural.
